Oral Cancer

ORAL CANCER can present itself in many different ways, which could include: a lip or mouth sore that doesn’t heal, a white or reddish patch on the inside of your mouth, loose teeth, a growth or lump inside your mouth, mouth pain, ear pain, and difficulty or pain while swallowing, opening your mouth or chewing.

Unexplained, persistent numbness or an odd feeling on the lip or tongue. sometimes, white or red patches on the lining of the mouth or tongue can be early signs of cancer, so they should also be checked. changes in speech, such as a lisp.

An incision biopsy is usually done using local anaesthetic if the affected area is easily accessible, such as on your tongue or the inside of your cheek. After the area has been numbed, the surgeon will cut away a small section of affected tissue. The wound is sometimes closed with dissolvable stitches.
