Bone Grafting

A bone graft is a surgical procedure used to fix problems of shortage of bone in quantity and/or quality.

Bone grafting is used to correct the shrinkage of the bone in 3 dimensions horizontal, vertical and depth to accommodate the selected implant and/or to correct the appearance of the jaw bone, which is supporting the overlying soft tissue.

The bone used for bone grafting could be obtained from the patient or from external sources however the new science of stem cells is used at Signature Smile for bone grafting to correct the diminished volume of the jaw bone to accommodate the selected implant. This is called the L-PRF system, which is used at Signature Smile and can be discussed with Mr Abbas for more details.
